Brian Ahern is a Managing Director and Wealth Advisor with VestGen, bringing over 24 years of experience in the financial services industry. He started his career in 1996 as an independent bond trader at the Chicago Board of Trade before becoming a financial advisor in 2001. In 2012, Brian co-founded The LAT Group.
Before entering the world of finance, Brian was a professional baseball player. After studying business administration at the University of Central Florida, he was drafted in the fifth round by the Kansas City Royals. He was a starting pitcher for UCF and played his last two seasons for AAA Omaha.
A native of the south suburbs of Homewood-Flossmoor, Brian is happily married to his wife, Kim, and together are the proud parents of five children: Michael, Amanda, Sadie, and twins Charlotte and Alice. Outside of the office, Brian enjoys golfing, practicing yoga, and attending sporting events.
