Eric is the Managing Partner and Director of Research at Nightview Capital, a long-term oriented investment firm that runs a publicly-traded fund on the New York Stock Exchange, and the author of the forthcoming book OUTLAST, to be published in 2027 by Scribner, the imprint of Simon & Schuster. It will also be published in the UK, as well as Germany, Spain, the Netherlands, Brazil, and many more.
Before becoming a fund manager, Eric was a business journalist and winner of a SABEW Award with bylines in The New Yorker, Inc., The Atlantic, Newsweek, and others. Today, he writes The Long Game at Big Think—a column exploring the ideas, strategies, and stories that drive longevity across business and life. Eric is also the author of The Nightcrawler, a newsletter read by thousands of creatives, CEOs, investors, and curious minds around the globe. Eric lives in Portland, Oregon, with his wife, Rachel Hochhauser and their two young daughters, Beatrice and Isabel.
